Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Warren County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be kept long enough to review it, respond, and maintain the related correspondence. It is not disclosed outside the organization unless sharing is needed to comply with a valid legal duty.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server may automatically receive basic technical and usage details, including:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address
- Browser name, browser release, and operating system
- The general type of device used for the visit
- Pages viewed and the approximate length of each visit
- A referring website, when one is supplied
- The date and time attached to a page request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They may be used with analytics services to measure traffic in aggregate, such as which pages are opened often and where visits end. Most browsers allow cookies to be blocked or removed. Disabling them can change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating the website and maintaining reasonable performance
- Routing a submitted query to the applicable search provider
- Measuring which resources are useful and which need revision
- Finding, diagnosing, and correcting technical faults
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Warren County Court Docket does not host, maintain, assemble, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. It provides general directions to records held by Cynthia Cheeley-Lazenby, Clerk of Superior Court, the Superior Court of Warren County, other local courts, and Georgia's public case-search route. The website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through one of those tools is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention, security, and disclosure practices. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Warren County clerk, Georgia courts, case portals, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Opening one leaves this website, and the destination's policy then applies. Read that policy before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use activity across websites to select ads. That collection takes place through the provider's technology and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. It may be received by the following limited categories:
- A search provider that processes a query submitted to its tool
- Analytics vendors that measure site use and performance
- Advertising networks that deliver ads on the website
- A government body or law-enforcement agency acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No Internet system is completely secure, however, and no promise can be made that unauthorized access or another security event will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such information is identified, a request may be made for its prompt deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights vary with a visitor's location and applicable law. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 through 50-18-72, governs qualifying public records held by Georgia agencies; it does not turn this private website into a public agency. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request a copy of personal information maintained about that visitor
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Request deletion of personal information when legally available
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where the law provides that choice
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A replacement version will be posted here and will carry its own effective date.
